Schluter®-BARA-RW is a stainless steel or color-coated aluminum, L-shaped edging profile for balconies and terraces. The profile provides a neat edge appearance while concealing and protecting the exposed edges of the setting bed against weathering and corrosion.

BARA-RW convient à la réfection des balcons et terrasses, dans les cas où un revêtement carrelé est posé sur un substrat existant selon la méthode en couche mince. BARA-RW s’enfonce solidement dans le ciment-colle et s’intègre à la couche d’étanchéité.

Le profilé BARA-RW est offert avec une perforation particulière d’un radius « R » de sorte qu’il peut être courbé. Des coins externes et des raccords agencés sont offerts.

BARA-RW requires no special maintenance or care. The coatings on the color-coated aluminum profile are colorfast and UV-resistant. Damaged surfaces shall be painted over.

Stainless steel surfaces exposed to the environment or aggressive substances should be cleaned periodically with a neutral cleaner. Regular cleaning maintains the neat appearance of stainless steel and reduces the risk of corrosion. Avoid the use of strong acids (e.g. hydrochloric or hydrofluoric) and base/alkaline cleaners (e.g. bleach, ammonia, chlorides). Do not use abrasive cleaning agents and tools. Stainless steel surfaces develop a sheen when treated with a chrome-polishing agent.

1- Seleccione BARA-RW según el espesor del lecho de base (por ej., la altura del ensamblado de piso a cubrir). Hay conectores y esquinas prefabricadas para las esquinas interiores, exteriores y juntas a tope. Arrime los extremos del perfil dejando una junta de aprox. 3/16"(5 mm). Cubra la junta con el conector de clip.

2- Utilizando una llana dentada, aplique mortero de capa fina al área en que ubicará BARA-RW. Presione el ala de fijación perforada en el mortero de capa fina y alinee.

3. To integrate the DITRA-DRAIN membrane, install the DITRA-DRAIN over the anchoring leg.

4. Tiles shall be laid in such a way that they extend approximately 3/4" (20 mm) beyond the edge of the profile. When using a trim profile at the edge area, the trim profile must extend beyond the BARA-RW by approximately 5/16" (8 mm).
