Discover what you need for tile protection and easy transitions.
Schluter-VINPRO-T is designed to provide transitions between existing same-height, resilient floor coverings, in new and retrofit applications (e.g. LVT). VINPRO-T is installed within the joint cavity and overlaps adjoining surface materials, thus preventing edges from becoming damaged when subjected to mechanical stress.
Schluter resilient surface covering profiles require no special maintenance or care and are resistant to mold and fungi. Clean profiles using neutral cleaning agents. For anodized aluminum, do not use abrasive or strong alkaline cleaning agents.
1. To ensure proper support of the lateral crosspiece, ensure the joint width is less than 1/2" (12.5 mm) or 1" (25 mm).
2. The joint cavity must be at least 1/8" (3mm) deep and free of debris. Substances that inhibit adhesion must be removed from the sides of the joint.
3. Fill the joint with elastomeric sealant such as Schluter-KERDI-FIX or similar. Insert the vertical leg of VINPRO-T in the joint so that lateral crosspiece rests completely on the edges of the surface covering.
4. Remove any excess sealant with suitable cleaner.
